The Home is registered for seventy people whose predominant problem is one of mental illness. Our aim is to give the very best care, which is provided throughout 24 hours by highly qualified and skilled nursing staff, who are aware of the importance of individual needs and every effort is made to discuss and understand personal wishes and requirements.

Other staff include, our own Psychiatrist, a General Practitioner providing a full medical service and holding surgeries at the Home twice weekly, Physiotherapist, activity staff, catering staff, housekeeping staff, maintenance personnel and a gardener. also, we have regular visits from a hairdresser and a chiropodist. There is a variety of highly technical equipment , including hoists, a Parker bath and special pressure relieving beds.

Ascot Nursing Home is divided into three units each caring for different needs. One cares mainly for elderly residents with moderate to severe dementia. Another cares for residents in their middle years with enduring mental health problems and who may also need physical care. the third cares for younger residents with enduring mental health problems who need little physical help, but need support and supervision to lead their lives to an optimum level.
